“MariaAwaria” is the second album of Maria Peszek – actress, singer and author of lyrics. She graduated from the State Theatre School in Cracow and played on the stages of Słowackiego Theatre, Studio Theatre and the National Theatre. Released in 2005, her first album – “miasto mania” – was the fruit of her collaboration with Wojciech Waglewski and his sons – Fisz and Emade. The album also provides the soundtrack to the multimedia performance of the same title. “Miasto mania” has earned her two Fredericks in the categories: A New Face in Phonography and Music Production of the Year and has gone Platinum.
In September 2008, the artist’s new project had its premiere in two exhibits: the album „MariaAwaria” and the book “MariaAwaria – Bezwstydnik”. The artist’s main aim was to express her emotions effectively and to write songs that would appeal to people and make them want to hum them, sing them to somebody’s ear or murmur them under the covers, and also to dance to them in the kitchen with someone they have missed all day. Maria Peszek worked on this album with Andrzej Smolik.
